FAQ's
What ages do you teach?
We teach anyone of any age! When it comes to children, we recommend ages 7+ (especially for guitar), however we have seen 4 year olds pick it up easily. It really depends on the child and how eager they are to learn - we will always let you know if we think your child isn't ready to start.
Do I need my own guitar?
Short answer - yes. Although we have PLENTY of guitars available to use during your lesson, it is best to have something to go home and practice with. But we will always have something for you to use in the studio (especially if you're running late/forget your instrument!)
Can adults learn too?
YES! We LOVE our adult students!
Do I need experience?
No! You can come to us with zero experience. We are a judgement-free safe space for you to explore your abilities :)
How often should lessons be?
We recommend weekly to get the most out of your lessons.
Can I change lesson times?
Yes. If you pay in advance for the term and decide the time you've locked in doesn't actually work, talk to us and we will sort out a new time for you.
PLEASE NOTE:
- We require MINIMUM 24hrs notice for cancellations & reschedules
- Casual lessons are subject to availability on booking
Do you teach during holidays?
Yes we can. We won't be operating at full capacity during school holidays as we also don't mind taking a little break ourselves ;) But if you are after lessons during the holidays - we can 99% of the time make that happen!
We will also be offering school holiday workshops! We are so excited about these.
How are payments made?
Please enquire through our forms OR email us and we will send you an online booking form which you can:
- Pick your date and time
- Pay in advance via bank transfer or by card
What happens if I'm sick or need to cancel/reschedule?
We understand that life happens, and sometimes you may need to miss a lesson.
To help us manage our teaching schedule fairly, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your lesson.
- 24+ hours' notice: We'll happily reschedule your lesson, subject to availability.
- Less than 24 hours' notice: The lesson will be forfeited and cannot be rescheduled or refunded.
